Angie Chen Leaves Libra For Exciting New Role
San Francisco, CA - Libra announced today that Director of Programs, Angie Chen, will be leaving the foundation for a new and exciting opportunity as Executive Director of Yellow Chair Foundation!
“It is a fantastic opportunity for Angie to continue to demonstrate her leadership in our field and help shape an evolving philanthropic institution,” said Libra’s Executive Director, Crystal Hayling. “Angie’s extensive philanthropic experience and her deep knowledge of climate justice will be particularly powerful as she moves into this new role.”
During her five years at Libra, Angie has made immeasurable contributions to the foundation, initially spearheading environmental and climate justice work for the Foundation, and most recently helping to grow and develop the team in her role as Director of Programs. Angie has been an inspiring leader, bringing great knowledge and strategy, but also care and commitment to building Libra’s current values and approach to grantmaking.
“It has been the opportunity of a lifetime to help grow Libra alongside this amazing team and community of partners,” Angie said. “I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned at Libra to continue shifting philanthropy toward trust-based practices and community leadership.”
