Our Office-Home

We call our office a home not only because of its history and welcoming layout, but also because we are proud to have a space that offers so much more than a place to do our work. If we are to advance our mission of co-creating thriving, just, and liberatory communities for all, it starts at “home” - a space where people feel comfort and peace and belly laughs abound. 

We often get immediate comments about the beauty and comfort of our office-home, reactions often prompted by our unique, alternating art installations. In the words of Toni Cade Bambara, “the role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.” If our job is to imagine and implement innovative solutions to society’s greatest challenges, what better way is there to do that work than surrounded by art? 

We enlisted the expertise of two incredible women to curate our home-office vision, Rachel Konte, designer extraordinaire at Red Bay Coffee and Owlnwood and Charmin Roundtree Baaqee, founder of Art is Luv. Rachel continues to curate the artwork that showcases local, mostly artists of color on a rotating basis. On any given visit, there is a chance to expand your imagination in comfort, intention and community.
